All Planets Direct 2025: How to Make the Most of It
Apr 21, 2025

Lately I've been talking a lot about how retrogrades, based on the visible astronomical experience, appear to be moments of necessary redirection—potentially even forms of divine intervention—leading us away from our earthly desires and towards the greater potential of who we can evolve into. This can get sticky because sometimes we tunnel vision on things we want that just don’t align with long term realities. Oftentimes this is why retrogrades can feel like everything is falling apart. In reality though it’s simply that certain areas of our lives are being cleared and clarified for something more sustainable to lock in. This could be interpreted as retrogrades actually pulling us into alignment, which then suggests that this period of all-planets-direct gives us an added amount of agency to accelerate in a refined direction based on what has been revealed through the retrograde periods.
With that in mind, let’s take a closer look at the recent retrogrades of the inner planets to better understand what’s been stirred up since the last all planets direct period (January 27–April 1, 2024). This can help us clarify which goals, visions, and opportunities are ready to move forward now.
Saturn Retrograde in Pisces June 29 - Nov 15th 2024
Have your long term plans shifted, and if so how?
When Saturn is retrograde we often revisit and reassess the structures we've built in our lives, especially around discipline, responsibility, and boundaries. When Saturn is in Pisces, that reassessment happens through a more subtle, spiritual, and emotional filter. Realizations may have surfaced around the need to reexamine our relationship to spiritual practices, how we regulate our emotions, where we may be overextending ourselves at the cost of our well-being, and when it’s time to reimagine—or even let go of—a dream altogether.
Jupiter retrograde in Gemini Oct 9 - Feb 4th 2024
Have your belief systems been challenged, and how has that helped you find a clearer voice for yourself?

Jupiter retrogrades turn us inward to examine the stories we live by- our beliefs, our principles, our sense of purpose and growth. It slows down the external expansion to make room for internal insight. Gemini is a sign of information, language, duality, and the mind. It thrives on questions, options, and ideas, but can struggle with focus, depth, or coherence. This can be a time when we realize some beliefs aren’t truly our own—that by relying too heavily on external sources of information, we may have bypassed the deeper growth that comes from doing the inner work ourselves. It is through our lived experience that we transform knowledge into our own personal wisdom. If you have been overthinking or using cleverness to avoid the truth, this time likely checked you and gave you space to modify those behaviors.
Mars Retrograde in Cancer Dec 6th 2024 - Feb 24th 2025
What situations and experiences challenged you and made you examine your relationship to anger?
Mars retrograde in Cancer is a big mood. Mars wants to charge forward, fight, assert—but Cancer is sensitive, protective, and emotional. So when hot, dry, and fiery Mars is retrograde in this cool, watery, inward-facing sign, we get a deep and often uncomfortable recalibration of our own inner fire. Our relationship to anger is often shaped by emotional reactivity rooted in past trauma, family dynamics, and patterns of neglect—limiting our ability to process it and leading to eruptions of unexpressed emotion.
Venus Retrograde from Aries to Pisces March 2 - April 13th 2025
What values have you realized are fundamental to you and need to be met for you to function with integrity?
During this Venus retrograde from Aries to Pisces, we may have revisited how we show up in love—beginning with Aries’ fiery lens, where themes of independence, self-worth, and the desire to be chosen on our own terms came into focus. As Venus moved into Pisces, that fire gave way to a more fluid, emotional landscape—one that released illusions, confronted romantic idealism, and reflected on where we’ve lost ourselves in longing or fantasy. Through this period, we’ve had opportunities to reset how we value ourselves and how we connect with others.
Mercury Retrogrades - We have had 4 Mercury retrograde cycles since the last all planets direct.
What have you realized about the changes needed in your approach to truly move toward your goals?

Mercury retrogrades have us rethink strategy, communication, and decision-making. In 2024, the focus of these periods moved from practical, grounded planning (earth signs) to bold, visionary action (fire signs), helping us align long-term goals with passion and purpose. In 2025, the retrogrades shift into air and water signs, encouraging us to refine how we express ourselves, connect with others, and trust our emotional intelligence. Together, these cycles help us move from structure to soul—rebuilding strategy from clarity, creativity, and inner truth. Where has it become clear that new strategies are emerging to align with your evolving beliefs and values, leading to a refinement of your long-term goals?
Moving Forward with What You Now Know
Each of these retrograde periods allowed us to reconsider something vital: dreams, beliefs, emotional patterns, self-worth, and strategy. While this isn’t always the most comfortable experience, these moments of reflection are prime opportunities to hone sharper boundaries, unearth deeper clarity, and nurture a more honest relationship with ourselves and the things that matter to us. Now, with every planet moving forward again, we have a green light to apply all of our hard-won insights—reevaluated, recalibrated, restructured, and renewed.

Bold of you to assume I’m going to ‘channel momentum’ and not just reorganize my sock drawer and call it personal growth
