This piece features a naturally formed tektite, a type of impact glass created when a meteorite strikes the Earth with enough force to melt terrestrial rock. The result is a dark, glossy stone with irregular surface textures and internal bubbles, each one a product of high-speed atmospheric entry and cooling. Unlike Moldavite crystals, which are a distinct green color and come only from the Czech republic, tektites like this are typically black or brown and found across larger strewn fields in Asia and Australia. Comes with adjustable sterling silver chain that fastens at 16 and 18 inches.
