We do love an oddball, and this crystal stood out from the rest on a table full of other oddballs, with it's soft lemony yellow patches and velvety snakeskin like surface textures. This variety of agate forms inside cavities of volcanic rock, where fluctuations in the conditions of the growth environment create the characteristic textures and color patterning that earned it its name. The form of this crystal sits beautifully in the hand, with multiple "handholds" created by the natural nodular formation.
